We are working on setting up a podcast for Shady Oaks, but until then here is the first sermon loaded from John Braten as he shared on March 15, 2015.

 

We have a tendency to believe we are always on the right side of things.
Pastor Rick says “We have a way of thinking the way we do things is right.”
“The real problem is the way of thinking that we have.” We need to be careful and measure our thinking against the word of God.

Ben and Catherine Braten dedicated Lily June Braten this Sunday morning and we celebrated with them on this wonderful occasion.

Happy Thanksgiving Sunday!

We are happy to spend this afternoon breaking bread with you all. Please join us as we fellowship after service. Food is provided so bring a friend. God bless you!

Thank you all for the help with our turkeys. We have had members donate the turkeys for our Thanksgiving celebration and we are grateful. We have also had people volunteer to cook the turkeys for us! How cool is that?

Now the process is almost complete, but we are looking for a bit of extra help to debone the meat once it’s cooked. If you are willing to help do this please get with Pastor Rick or Jerry and they will point you to whoever still needs help.

Thanks again for all of your efforts and we look forward to eating some great food with you soon!
